For many of us, the kitchen is the hub of the home. It’s where we cook, eat, and socialize. Unfortunately, it can also be one of the dirtiest rooms in the house. Grease and grime can build up on your kitchen cabinets, making them look dull and dingy. Luckily, there are a few easy steps you can follow to clean your painted kitchen cabinets and make them look like new again.

Step One: Remove everything from your cabinets. This includes all dishes, food items, and any other items that may be stored inside. Once everything is removed, give your cabinets a good dusting. This will remove any built-up grime and make it easier to clean the surface of your cabinets later on.

Step Two: Mix together a solution of mild dish soap and warm water. You don’t want the water to be too hot, as this could damage the paint on your cabinets. Using a soft cloth or sponge, gently scrub the surface of your cabinets with the soapy water. Be sure to rinse away any soap residue with clean water when you’re finished.

Step Three: In a small bowl, mix together equal parts vinegar and water. Again, you’ll want to use warm water rather than hot water so you don’t damage the paint on your cabinets. Using a soft cloth or sponge, wipe down the surface of your cabinets with the vinegar solution. This will help to remove any remaining grease or grime. Rinse away the vinegar solution with clean water when you’re finished.
